This protocol is designed to improve awareness of the abdominal-perineal-pelvic muscles, enhancing proprioception and muscle tone. It addresses pregnancy-related concerns, including posture, pelvic support, and tissue quality. This protocol is a valuable tool for postpartum physical activity recovery.

The Hi-EMS intensity should be adjusted based on the patient’s comfort to ensure a pleasant experience.

As progression occurs, the MOM+ protocol should be combined with active proprioceptive exercises.

IMPORTANT: It is recommended to wait 6 weeks postpartum and 3 months after a cesarean section before starting a MOM+ program.

Setup

Place 3 adhesive electrodes with the return electrode placed below the navel and the 2 RET electrodes placed under each glute, extending towards the inner thigh.

Treatment

Set RET (Low) mode to 30% establish gentle diathermy. Adjust the Hi-EMS (MOM+) to 30% to achieve a slight contraction.
